Heron's Cove Lake House
The Home
Our home was fully renovated, making each space inviting and comfortable for your getaway. The living area is an open design, so family and friends can be together. The kitchen has been stocked with plenty of cookery for even the most elaborate of meals, and there is seating at the dining table and island so everyone can enjoy meals together. A fully stocked coffee bar, including waffle iron, mix, and syrup, will help you start each day right!
Down the hallway you'll find 3 bedrooms: One with 2 Twin bunks and a single Twin bed, one with a Queen sized bed, and the main bedroom with a King bed. The living room sofa extends to sleep one person. The Twin and Queen bedrooms share the hall bath with a walk-in shower. The main bedroom has a desk for those who must work on vacation and an ensuite bath with tub and shower combo. Each bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash as well as a hair dryer. Each bedroom also has its own smart tv. (Netflix is provided but is sometimes signed out by previous guests, so bring your own login info just in case!)
To help you get a great night's sleep, each room has a white noise machine and luxurious Helix mattresses. If you are not hitting the lake first thing in the morning, blackout curtains in each room will help those wanting to sleep late. In each closet you'll find a fan and extra linens and pillows. The main bathroom closet has an iron and ironing board.

There is also a laundry room (detergent pods included) with washer and dryer. The console table in the living room has a variety of books and games.

The Outdoor Space
With 1.1 acres, you'll find our yard is much more spacious than most lakeside lots. Outside you will find a dining table and seating on the patio, which is perfect if you decide to use our grill to make your dinner. There is also a fire pit area with seating for 8 to extend those evenings laughing and enjoying each other's company. There are extendable roasting forks in the kitchen if you'd like to roast marshmallows or hot dogs. In the laundry room, you will find hammocks to hang and outdoor games to enjoy.
The Lake
And this is what you're here for! Lake Saint John is a beautiful lake surrounded by those famous Louisiana Cypress trees. Heron's Cove is on the south end of the lake with a boat launch practically next door. The cove is filled with cypress trees that attract some of Louisiana's most beautiful birds, including herons! We have a brand new dock large enough for everyone to gather and hang out (electricity coming soon!). There are chairs for relaxing in and 4 kayaks and 1 canoe to cruise in around the lake. We provide life jackets and a few fishing poles as well. The cove is plenty deep enough for your boat. At the tip of our property, you can see the wide open lake, so you have the best of both worlds!
